Summer Solstice Sound Bath and Stretch - in the room, not on Zoom!

julio-lopez-Iv9bn9PaEI8-unsplash.jpg

We’ll be back in the studio to mark the official start to the summer and the longest day of the year with a beautiful and gentle yoga class, suitable for all levels, followed by a deeply meditative and therapeutic Sound Bath.

Relax, recharge and activate the energy centres in the body. A chance to set intentions and immerse ourselves in the vibrations created by the Himalayan Singing Bowls and Crystal Quartz bowls. This accessible restorative practice uses the power of sound, intention, and silence to tap into your parasympathetic nervous system and support a lush layer of rejuvenation. The sound bath creates a safe space for you to meet yourself in stillness.

(We will use a recording of a sound bath but the impact and effect of the vibrations is none the less powerful - have trust - it really is a truly beautiful experience!)

Setting a New Rhythm - Permission to Feel

You can't change what you don't notice...

Seems obvious and yet we so often fall into that trap.

We will start this workshop with a yoga nidra practice.  This will settle and calm the nervous system and prepare us for thinking.

Emotional intelligence is the cornerstone of wellbeing, growth and life.  If we can learn to harness our emotions then we can achieve wellbeing in a way that re-energises us so that we are more satisfied and more productive (whatever that means for you).  Emotional wellbeing is a skill set and in this workshop we will explore what this is and how we can use it for ourselves and with others.

Expect to leave feeling all the feelings and knowing you can master them.

45 euros - email louise@theyogathread to book.

Sarah Philp is a coach, psychologist, yoga teacher and consultant who brings a depth of knowledge and understanding to the coaching process. With an MA in Psychology and an MSc in Educational Psychology, she understands and can help you to better understand human behaviour, interaction, organisations and systems as well as change and of course the interaction of all of those. As a yoga teacher, Sarah also brings a deep understanding of the mind-body connection to all of her work.

Step Back and Restore - Online Coaching with Sarah Philp

Step Back and Restore

The changing of the seasons is always a great time to focus on endings and beginnings, the end of one stage and the beginning of another. Moving into autumn and winter is traditionally a reflective, inward time of year. That said it is also a time of busyness, expectations and socialising (although maybe this year will be different…).  This is a great time to step back and allow yourself a moment of reflection and renewal.

With a new sense of calm and harmony we will take some time to identify your dreams and wishes and then create a vision of what you want and who you want to be. You will be expertly guided through a range of exercises that support you to create a truly authentic and personal vision.

Expect to leave feeling inspired and ready to create your best life through your actions.

40 euros - email louise@theyogathread to book.

Value Yourself - Online Coaching with Sarah Philp

We will start with a guided meditation for love and compassion, setting the tone for our time together.  Wellbeing can mean so many things and self – care can be an over-used term but we must not underestimate its importance.

“Learning self-care is like building your own lifeboat, plank by plank. Once you've got your boat, you'll still be rocked by the waves of life, but you'll have a feeling of safety, and a stability that means you can pick other people up on your way"

Nadia Narain and Katia Narain Phillips

You will explore what self-care means to you, what nourishes you and what depletes you.  You will use the holistic framework of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual to develop your own personal self-care plan.

Expect to leave feeling nourished and ready to prioritise yourself.

Combining yoga nidra together with some powerful coaching exercises together we will reset, nourish and create change.  A relaxing and restorative yoga nidra will fully prepare the body and mind for thinking.
