Off the Beaten Mat - Spring Cleaning for the soul!

The Off the Beaten Mat events provide you with the opportunity to spend time mindfully immersed in nature for health and well-being purposes.

Studies show that taking time to connect to nature can reduce blood pressure, lower cortisol levels and improve concentration and memory. A chemical released by trees and plants, called phytoncides, has been found to boost the immune system.

So why not join us as we step off our yoga mats and into nature for a restorative morning of walking meditations, forest immersion, natural art and fresh air?

Together we will explore a variety of activities that will connect you with nature and with like-minded adventurers.

Activity, creativity, simplicity, connection, conversation and silence.

United by a love of the great outdoors, a passion to protect and appreciate the natural environment and a recognition of the need for time-out, mindful meditation and calm, Lucy, Alayne and Louise have created a beautiful half day programme that we are excited to share with you. By sharing our unique skills and practices in stunning surrounds we know you will leave feeling refreshed, nurtured and grounded.

Noticing the way trees grow and mature, their autumnal colours or winter skeletons, or the way wildlife adapts to seasons changing, can help slow our ruminating thoughts and help us see our place in the wider web of life.

I really enjoyed exploring a new area and being guided to be mindful about the nature around us. It was lovely to find and appreciate so many bright and beautiful things. I shall look at everything with fresh eyes next time I am out walking. I loved, loved the art work and the treats were absolutely delicious!
